Ambassador of the European Paganini Route
In February 2025 the Paganini Ensemble Wien was appointed Ambassador of the European Paganini Route, the cultural route dedicated to the famous musician and his era.
In February 2025 the Paganini Ensemble Wien was appointed Ambassador of the European Paganini Route (EPR).
As Ambassador, the ensemble carries an artistic mission: to raise awareness of Paganini’s chamber music as a significant part of Europe’s musical heritage, and to preserve and pass on the composer’s legacy through source-based, historically informed performance, the complete recording of his chamber music for Dynamic, and new works that connect his legacy with the music of today. The appointment recognises the ensemble’s work as one of the first groups devoted principally to Paganini’s chamber music, and it opens the way to concerts, cultural exchange and educational initiatives along the Route.

The European Paganini Route is the cultural itinerary dedicated to the famous musician and his historical era. The EPR fosters cross-border cooperation through an international cultural and musical initiative in the spirit of the European idea.
Within European culture, Niccolò Paganini played a decisive role in the age of Romanticism – not only in music, but as a representative of a time of profound social and cultural change which, between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, helped shape a new European spirit.
